Not all threads are created equal.

Some are amusing, some are boring. Some are popular (or not popular) just because of who posted them. In general, however, I think they can be classified into four main categories, based on two simple factors:
1) Encouraged participation,
2) "Official" DoD:S business

Threads high in both, would be things like event sign-ups or threads about server changes--they are going to get a ton of views and responses.

Threads high in "official business" but low in encouraged participation are threads like, "Here's how to fix lag" and things like that. There isn't much responding to be made, but they get a lot of views.

Threads high encouraged participation but low in "official business" are things like, "Post your screenshots!" threads. These are the sort of threads, in general, that people LOVE and post in.

Threads low in both are what I think we can safely classify as nonsense/random/YSD threads--those threads that are just some silly nonsense thrown out there. If people like it, they explode and become popular, but a large bulk of them just go mostly ignored.

Factoring in those typical "norms" and looking at the "biggest" threads (the Top 100 most replied-to and most-viewed threads), here are the...

Kings of Post
1. C-WHiT - By a wide margin, C-WHiT is number 1. Why? Well, a HUGE part of it would be, simply put, Realism. Every Realism thread is hugely popular, especially the sign-up threads, which are, understandably, some of the most popular threads around. He also has all of the Wild Card threads, which also, obviously, encourage participation.

2. YoSpankDawg - Simply put, I corner the market on the nonsense threads and every ?th one ends up randomly hugely popular. I then use this popularity to get people to look at all of my other boring or "official" threads (bwahaha).

3. Blue Stealth - Blue is the top "FYI" thread guy. Half of the stickied threads are from him and, as such, get a lot of views.

4. Blindy - Blindy doesn't actually post around here much anymore, but he used to enough to still count--also because he is the "King" of that third category (unofficial threads that encourage participation). In fact, he has what we could call the two most-popular threads ever with his "post your screenshots" thread and then his "bounty" thread where he ran this sort of event where he'd post bounties and people would collect them (that disappeared just as quickly as it came).

The rest of the 10 "Kings of Post":
5. Spray
6. Duality
7. ST0RMY
8. jeod66
9. Dutchoper72
10. FluffyTDestroyer

You'll notice that a lot of them are/were leadership. Quite simply put, when they post, people usually check it out--especially since it is almost always "official business" stuff (though there are some gems in there, such as jeod's ever-popular "ronpaul bounty" thread).

Haha shut up Skipper--that's not what I intended with it. :P

I still have the best stories though...the guys from 09 will remember those, lol

Hey....I have some good stories. In fact...I don't think I have shared any of my stories with anybody from eGO. :O

lol me and STORMY need to move up and then everyone would be a part of leadership

I'm #1? haha i rarely have anything interesting to say! must be a mistake!

Perhaps, but I explained why--every time you make a thread, it's always good for at least a few pages of discussion. True, 99% of them are "official business", but still...simply put, you make threads and people view/respond to them. lol
