In first person shooters, what key do you prefer to use to crouch/duck?

Control, nothing else makes any sense. I can't keep my thumb on the spacebar with c, shift is sprint, and as for the q's I've seen, what's the quick switch button?

However, I have noticed that in Crysis 2, C is the correct choice for crouching.

Z was crouch in duke3D, I bumped it over to lshift because it was more natural for me. I use CTRL for sprint in other games

My controls all derive from my BF1942 days:
Ctrl - Crouch
Shift - Run
Z - Prone

i always use C ctrl is nub

I use keypad + to crouch and keypad enter to go prone. Thats the best I can do since I'm one of those left handed players.
