Updating problems..

Hi all. You guys might have had this same problem. I just installed windows 7, and I'm having trouble updating. I go to the EA/bc2 folder, and right click BFBC2updater, hit run as admin.

It runs, and then I leave it to download. I come back, and it says something along the lines of unable to find files (to download, I'm assuming) on the server..

What can I do? :/ does EA have direct download links somewhere?

Well. I don't think I had this exact problem, but PB kept DC'ing me from server, and someone told me to update BC2. So I did, and I didn't have the problems anymore.

Hey Pwnt. I just spent a while scouring the internet for any troubleshooting we might be able to put you through and didn't come up with much. I hate to have to suggest it (even though EA support isn't bad...) but I would definitely put a support ticket in or give EA support a call to see if they can help you through this. They've always treated me well in the past.

Something that sure couldn't hurt is just fully uninstalling, reinstalling, and seeing if it allows you to update. Something may have gotten moved/deleted/corrupted and the updater no longer knows how to direct your update query.
