Hello fellow eGO's

Can you guys put togeather some parts for a computer for 1000 USD?

Or help me upgrade my current one.

Which contains,

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5750

Processor: AMD PHENOM II x4 955, 4x3.2GHZ

Harddisk: 500GB SATAII WD HARDDISK, 7200RPM

Motherboard: MSI 770-G45 (MS-7599)

RAM: 4GB DDR3 1600MHZ, KINGSTON HYPER-X

Are you not satisfied with gaming performance? If so, replacing the graphics card should fix that, and you should be able to get quite a bit more life out of that PC.

What PSU (power supply) do you have?

Sadly, you cannot really go anywhere with that setup.

If you wanted to get something like an X6, you would probably want to replace the board since the G45 is notorious for VRM failures with X6.

My suggestion would be to get a new Sandy Bridge build. You could reuse your power supply and RAM and hard drive. Also you could get a new video card while you are at it :D

Depending on what power supply you currently have, you might need to get a new one to power the 580. Something like this:

Ow that's nice! Thank you reflex! Gonna go hunt down where I can buy it in my area :)

Why not just upgrade your GPU, there's pretty much nothing that's going to need a hex core right now no matter what people say.

Just purchase it on Newegg.

Anyway, if you aren't satisfied with your gaming rig at the moment, I would just purchase a better Graphics card and maybe clean out your rig. It will be more than sufficient.

Yeah probably gonna do this, and get a new case. :)
