I'm getting a new (my first) Airsoft arsenal (Rifle + Pistol) and I'm just trying to check if they guns I'm planning to get are good. I'm getting a JG M4 RIS (Metal) + 2 Extra mags & a CQB Red Dot Sight. For my side-arm I'll be getting an electric Desert Eagle.

So what do you think?

I don't really know much about airsoft guns, but I heard electric pistols aren't that good and that if you get a pistol you should get a gas one. I have a Glock 19 which uses gas.

Hmm I would check out a different pistol. Try finding a green gas or CO2 pistol. Even though you may not want to, you need to spend the money to get a decent pistol. At least $40. Thats if your getting serious into airsofting. I'm looking at a green gas glock that sells for 130 bucks.

Dangit. Guess I'm getting a pistol. Also, do Non-blow backs put another BB into the gun after you fire a shot or are they like spring guns?

Try surfing the net and comparing prices. Try speedytoys.com for some good deals. Thats where I got my sniper rifle for a pretty good price.

okay simple rules of buying an airsoft gun
1. dont buy black, silver or anything but bright colors (orange, yellow, green, etc) or fake as possible looking (so you can still have camo style)
2. try for see through (cheap but ive had my $100 plastic see through for 2 1/2 yrs)
3. metal also bad idea cause cops will freak out
4. go for japanese airsoft, higher fps 500-700fps and higher quality
5. finally make sure its legal
6. pistols are good, spring or gas
7. AEGs also good but be willing to pay the price ($100+)

side note, a rifle w/o a scope is not considered a sniper rifle as my friend thinks, its just a rifle, and if it has no ammo, its a stick

A big, metal one. Thanks for the tips, but I dont really want a yellow, clear, or plastic gun. I dont own a car, and I dont plan on carrying it to school. Plus, they ALL have orange tips.

errrrr, kind of off topic but what do you exactly do with those? the airsoft rifles and pistols? I know I might seem a lil' dumb but I'm just wondering.

I own a CA MP5A4, and its just great. I don't really know about those electric pistols, but from what i've heard, gas operated ones are a whole lot better.
Too bad that most clips sold these days are hi-cap, i prefer standard clips over the noisy hi-caps any day.
Are most rifles in the US that cheap, because i paid about 300$ for my SMG, but most higher-quality guns cost that here :D
