Steam Profile uses Steam OpenID for authentication and it's perfectly legit and safe.

Still for the very cautious, this site could do a better job of "seeming" legit. I'm not questioning the actual legitimacy, if you vouch, thats good enough for me, but I have a healthy mistrust of new websites, especially ones that appear to be asking me to login in to their site using another sites login credentials.
Can't beleive I'm the only one who feels this way (hence my original post).

I've been scammed before, but I did some research before logging in. I haven't had any problems with it. I'm not the kind of person to log in using another site's credentials, but I didn't see any indication that malicious hooking was going on, so I'm cool with it.

I woke up this morning, and to my surprise, the 100,000th profile had been generated.

Awesome! I thought, and I got ready to purchase an extra copy of Portal 2 for the the winner.

I opened up the site?s database to see who had won. I was surprised to see that it was a handful of users generating profiles at a rate that would only be capable through automated scripts.

Because of the cheaters, the contest has been terminated, and no prize will be awarded. Here are two of the offending users. Go shout at them if you must.
