Hey guys, I was messing around with the Calibur line last night. I never really gave a 2nd thought to using it, since it only does normal damage... but I can safely say, it's my favorite sword line now, and I only have the 3 star version. I was able to do the first half of T2 a lot easier than with my Avenger.
One thing people overlook with the Calibur line is that it has NO weaknesses, it also has good damage, speed and knock back. Seems like a lot of people(myself included) don't realize if you sword does normal and elemental damage, then theres two monster types that the sword is going to be weak to(beasts and gremlins). The same can be said for piercing and shadow damage weapons. For every element, there's two monster types you're strong against, two you're neutral against and two that you're weak against.
Personally, I like keeping it simple and not having to carry around 3+ weapons for each monster type. I think it would be a pain when 4 gun puppies, 2 lumbers and 8 jellys spawn, to be constantly switching between weapons depending on who you were attacking, but again, that's just me.
I just wanted to tell you guys, if you didn't know already, that the Calibur line is highly underrated.
