Bring back the original grand marble?

Bring back the original grand marble!

The newest introduction of the marble update has some people (including myself) very disappointed with the removal of the original map. The "update" is almost a completely different map. When I compare the two, I see no similarities at all (except for that area in climb where the deagle box used to be).

The old marble map was, and still is, very fun. Don't fix something that isn't broken!


My proposal

Bring back the old marble map, and rename the "update" to make it a whole new map.


If anybody has constructive criticism, feel free to post.
 
i agree with rico, i feel the new one just isnt as good as the old, and nothing really similar about it that it deserved to be called the new grandmarble, i say we bring back the old one and either rename the new one or scrap it all together my first run over it was very upsetting.
 
I can't really vote for this because I haven't seen the new one.
 
It's seriously bad though. I don't mean any offense to Rogue, as the new updates to Devs are great, that map has really improved. However, the updates to Grand Marble have pretty much ruined the map. It sucks now. Sorry.

Nobody was asked what changes they wanted made to the map (as far as I know?). I don't think anyone even had a problem with it, it just went ahead with updates that didn't need to happen.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great you're actively trying to improve the server, and you've done so in plenty of other instances, but just not this one.

Deal with it? Do we all not have a right to post what we want as long as its within the rules? If the majority dislikes the map then I don't see why it would be a problem to re-add it back in?

I have to agree with this..
 
He means the previous Grand Marble.

I like certain aspects of the new map. For example, the race and park areas are better.

The new b-hop has some sort of mechanism pushing me off when I'm trying to jump which is frustrating as hell. The new cell area has way too many fences and looks ugly, also ruining the T side's fun as there's pretty much no chance of rebelling.

The addition of a maze could prove fun after settling in, so I guess that's good. A climb isn't too bad either, but these additions are making the map a whole lot like the new Devs.

The removal of the AWP from armory could go either way, I don't really have any complaints about that but I'm guessing some people might.

I dunno. I'm sorry if I come off harsh, but Grand Marble was the best map on the rotation. It was well balanced, it was simple, but most of all it was fun.
 
That was my favorite map, and I'm sure many people would say the same. I'd like to see it restored.
 
If the original marble doesn't come back. You wouldn't see me as much in jail - It's one of the best maps since blackops_fix. Original.
 
I like the new grand marble, but it just doesn't compare with the old grand marble. That is/was an AWESOME map. It is easily the best jail map ever made in my opinion.
 
I really love the original grand marble map and I think it's really fair for both sides. I usually don't hate or QQ about updates on things like this and that, but the new marble map just doesn't fit well for me. I've been playing the original for more than a year, and I would hate to see it leave.

It seems like it's a new map, completely. I hate to say negative things to mappers since they do put a lot of hard word into these things, however, this wasn't good as I thought it would be. Just my opinion, don't be screaming at me.
