Dust 2 Server

Does the Dust 2 server keep going down tonight?

I've noticed that not only early this morning was the server crashing.. It always seems to have it's moments where it's good for 1 or 2 weeks, than on that 3rd week span, any random time of day it crashes and reboots itself in like 2 minutes.. I assume it's either A) people trying to do the e-Thug gaming act by trying "D-Dosing" the server or B) It goes under maintenance a lot and to keep it running you have to reboot it here and there, even if the server was full, we'll still get booted off for the benefit of having the server fixed.

Hey guys,

If you do experience random server crashes, make sure to PM the CS:S advisors/DLs about this. You can find us in Ventrilo most of the time, and if you can't, send us a PM on the forum.

We'll check to see what's causing trouble in the server

I think you might get a faster answer if you made a drop box post about his.

What I think it might be is, since it's the biggest server in the CS:S division, the files for the server fill up so fast with things like downloaded sprays and whatnot, and it could cause the server to crash. That's just what I believe out of my 2 years of server experience.

i think i know that problem, JameWo u are right 2( It Is De-dosing i can tell if it goes off for 2 or 3 mins it is de-dosing, if u want it off de-dosing mode,u must put de-dosing Protection on. Or Just Do something else wait i got a idea, Contact Steam to see or if they are trying to mess up the server, rcon password are the worst, youtube will help if not idk anymore ideas,
