Anyone know a good recording software?

[Ballaboy]

First off, I'd like to say that I'm not really sure where this post belongs, so if any admin sees fit, move it to wherever you would like.

Anyway, back to the topic. For ban requests it requires a video demo (I think) of the player that you are looking at, and lately there haven't been many eG or eGo player on the counterstrike servers when I'm on, I would like to be able to put in some ban requests if necessary. However, I don't have anything to record small clips etc. so does anyone know of any good, preferably free recording software?
Thanks

Well, this would probably be best in Off Topic. But, if you are looking for video recorders, you can do the classic "record name" ex: record Death that will show up in your cstrike folder. If you want an audio recorder (i record in game for mic spammers..) try Freecorder 4. Hope i helped even a little :/

Where exactly in the counterstrike folder does it save the video?

The demo files save in the cstrike folder inside the counter strike source folder. It will be called whatever name you put after "record" and will be a .dem file. It will be very small, don't upload it to youtube, instead, look in the ban request forum and there should be a sticky that tells you where to email the demo to, then post a ban request on the hacker with the reason "Demo Sent".
For circumstances such as racism in the server, type condump in your console and it will say "Saved condump0001.txt" or something similar, then open it up, copy paste the section where the situation has happened and then post a ban request with that section in [quote] tags for the reason with a summary of what he/she has done above the quote.
I hope this helps you.
