Hi!

Situation:

I am recon class, I put two C4 on a Humvee and drive it up to an enemy tank. Usually, I exit, then detonate, then boom. But sometimes, when I exit and press my right mouse button, instead of detonating the charges, it lays more charges on the ground.. even if I have no more left. And they don't detonate. Left mouse button just does nothing.

Anybody else getting this? :confused1:

It's very frustrating when I exit, very excited to blow something up, then it doesn't work and I get shot by the tank. :crying:

This happens to me all the time.

I think it's because you're just tapping your detonate button instead of holding it down.

Next time, hold your detonate button down instead of pressing it very quickly.

True.. I do tend to spam my right mouse button because I get all excited that I haven't died yet..

I'll try that!

bzzzt wrong answer:thumbdown:

This glitch happens if you enter a vehicle to fast after placing the c4 on the vehicle. Basicly it is 100% reproducible if u jump in a vehicle right after you throw a c4 but before your detonator appears on screen. Try it sometime.

Ok yeah this work.
Thanks!

its very useful to make c4 art with craters or to destroy tons of trees when you are bored without having to reload because it gives you infinite c4

I lost some respect for you Captain.

But, in all seriousness, I've never noticed it happen to me. Did you try googling it?

I only play recon when I do that C4 kamikaze trick.

Recon is a snooze-fest otherwise.

BC2 Recon has 2 major bugs which i encounter every game which leads me to extra unnecessary deaths

1. The C4 bug (iEye Captain already mentioned above)

and

2. The 4x M40 scope bug (when you zoom into your scope the zoom suddenly instantly resets to normal mode with your scope still infront of your screen. ie. you've got your scope out aiming at someone but theres no zoom...making it impossible to aim at anyone cos the scope is SUPER small which means you've got no choice but to scope out and scope in again.) :crying:

To solve the C4 bug issue i usually switch to my primary or secondary weapon then switching back to the detonator before getting into a vehicle. (like what vertago said)

To solve the 4x M40 scope bug.......NO SOLUTION atm :(

It doesn't seem like you die at all, let alone die necessarily. ;)

Yeap, I tried doing what Mr. Vertago said and it works. :w00t:

I never got this bug maybe because I don't panic and tap
right mouse

I hold down the right mouse button to aim... i never use click-toggle :bored:

@ Krod
Hmm interesting. I never encountered the zoom problem with any other weapon other than the m40.. than again i better not JINX it! :scared:

The zoom issue has been around since the game came out for multiple weapons across the board. It's just a result of switching modes too fast and hitting a small "gap" with the server and client latency from what I can determine. Basically your client reads you're zoomed but the server says "yeah well screw you!" and you're back to normal.

The C4 glitch crap is just annoying stuff that's usually resulting from the fact that the game is a console port and just simply can't keep up with some things. Kills me SOOOOOOOOOO often.

Oh cmon... Recon is awesome if you have mad snipez...

Sadly it's a snoozefessssst when the hitbox registry doesn't match with your mad snipez....especially when the guy your shooting at isn't moving. Either that or people have GODmode on nowadays! :crying::crying::crying::crying:

Hmmmmmmmmmz I've only been noticing it the past month..before that the zoom issue wasn't known to me. Anyways no biggie i guess! It's always nice to kill somebody when this bug occurs...it's like shooting ants with a telescope.

No matter how much I adjust for bullet drop, I can never seem to kill anybody with a sniper. So I end up just spotting for other people, which = snoozefest.

If your having problems with bullet drop... increase your FOV. Everything will be further away and smaller BUT it'll definitely help you out with your bullet drop problem.

ie.
fov at 55(default) - targets are bigger and easier to aim at but when your attempting to snipe a target with a sniper rifle or a tank the gap between your targets head or the top of the target vehicle is alot bigger than lets say....a 85 fov(which i am using btw).

I don't know if you'll understand my description of this but try it out. I'm pretty sure you'll spot the difference pretty easily.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. Anybody who is using the default fov(55) will do alot better with a higher fov. It just takes a little getting use to. Also with a higher fov means...you can see alot more things happening at the sides of your screen ie. a ninja sneaking up to you with a knife!

Nice try Ninja! ---> :chair: <--- Sexy Smexy
