they are kinda buffing alistar so dumb

They didn't buff him, they nerfed the stun and chanced his play style a little.

His new passive intrigues me. Fiddle and Xin are sort of meh, don't really play them.

It is a re-balancing, not a buff. He will be worse at roaming now that his knockup is less powerful (and presumably with a higher cooldown at low levels. The changes will make him more dependent on getting some farm and not being a no-item tank. He will have to leech from lanes longer for some farm.

I guess I can see how I fair with Fid when the patch comes. Is he mainly a jungler or can he hold a lane on his own?

The changes were to make Drain less powerful in the lane early on, but keep his jungle similar. The dark wind change should also make him a better jungler.

Besides the champs useless if you dont know how to use him anyways
