To my fellow Fire Fighters

I just wanted to say thank you for wanting to help the community and save lives. As you may know, there are many different reason for a fire to start and many conditions while its burning that you cant predict. Take this pic for instance.

We got the call and headed out like any other fire. Arrived on scene and immediately tried to save the house (as much as we could). Not even 10 mins after arriving, we got a call from the local sheriff stating that this house was used in creating illegal substances. We pulled out asap and then the house exploded because the substance caught on fire. This is just a friendly reminder that anything can happen while out helping others. Please stay safe and keep on keeping on. =)

Looking at that pic though, I don't know that I would've even attempted entry into the house at that point. Maybe on the C, or D side, but idk.

Before the drug lab exploded zimmy only the two bedrooms which are located on the left side of the picture were on fire so we tried to save the rest of the house. After it exploded, we let it burn to rubble and then put out the hotspots because we knew we couldnt do anything about it.

When I was working in the oil field, I was in the natural gas processing plants mostly. They sent us to A&M to fire school, any fire we got was in the middle of a bomb. Seeing flames on a 140,000 gallon propane storage tank certainly figures into the pucker factor when your running towards it. House fires are bad enough without having little surprises like that in them. Hats off to all firefighters, I just had enough of it while I was in the plants, saw a couple of guys blown up and burned up for no reason. Guess I got my fill of that stuff in the Corps, never had the urge to get into the volunteer firefighters when I moved up here. Be careful.

Ah okay, I didn't know that this picture was after the explosion had already occurred. Well I'm glad that PD notified you guys of that. Otherwise, that could've easily been another LODD.
