Hello to all my eGO amigos!

What are your thoughts on a server that requires you to have over 10,000 points to play on? Pros? Cons? Possibility?

Unlikely to happen but I was wondering if anyone shared my desire.

Shoutout to a few of my eGO homies!

Krisis aka joker - What's up?!?
Scizr - w000000000000000rd
Hawaiianbeast - Nom nom babies
Rageberry - where r uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu?

If it requires you to have 10,000 points, how do you get them in the first place.

Do eGO servers not store game stats on a central billing server for all servers to share and retrieve date from? When I play on High School it shows I have 13k points and when I play on de_dust2 it shows I have 13k points :P

I guess to more clearly answer that question I could say "Play on one of the other eGO servers until you get 10k points."

That dog totally jacked that guys sled lol.

Ah, thought you were talking about some random server you came across, not an eGO one.

The biggest set back to this, and also the reason why it won't happen is because eGO puts fun and enjoyment in the games they support over the competitiveness that appears in these games. So if you have a server for only super high point people a lot of others in this community will feel left out by not being able to play with their friends and also leave a subconcious thouht about them not being good at the game, which while no one here really cares if someone is good or bad the individual will still probably feel a little bummed out by this.

There are other servers besides eGO???

And I think having something to achieve for is a good thing. Kind of like in Black Ops you gotta unlock all the guns by leveling up. Or in Halo Reach to get all the cool armor you gotta get more credits. Having some locked features in a game isn't a bad thing imho.

And let us shine some light on the OTHER END of that spectrum. What about us slightly better players that go 20-9(just an example) in a server and still end up with negative points? We like to have fun, too!

I used to care about points but seeing now, when I am a point collector I cannot have fun in the server(s).

I stopped caring for points once I hit the 25,000 mark. Now I just play for fun and just ignore the points on my screen.

CS:S IS NOT COD, Plus just have fun thats why the game was made. BTW COD is a bad annual game.

Even if it were to work due to a whitelist of sorts, What happens if you drop to 9999 in the server?

haha I gave up on points after I started seeing a lot of new kids in highschool where previously only the regulars played. I would rather prefer a gungame server or server with an rpg mod involved that let's you level up to access certain skill. That would be a lot more fun.

I don't understand how this would work out. Sure it would be fun to play with fellow players above 10,000 points but, there are not many players with over 10,000 points. The server would probably be empty most of the time, as new pubs would not be able to enter. Another issue is the fact that people would be constantly trying to gain 10,000 points to enter the server and cause a lot of stress and disruption in the server. This would also cause more hostility towards the new players taking up 20+ points per kill. It is a great idea on paper though! If you want to play against competitive players, there are scrims that will probably work out better!
