In this forum post, I will be addressing ways to become a better Counter-Strike Source Player. The topics I will include here
are: What strageties to use and what guns to buy and why.

Overview: Counter Strike Source is a first person shooter game that involves many new guns (AK47, Desert Eagle, M4, AWP).
There is a Terrorist and Counter-Terrorist side. The terrorists job is to attack the counter terrorists and get a bomb planted
into a specific bomb site. The Counter-Terrorist side is to defend the bomb the best they can. If the bomb is planted,
their job is to defuse the bomb! The terrorist team will win if the bomb is blown up without being defused or eliminating all
of the enemy players on the opposing team. Counter Terrorists can win by also eliminating the players on the opposing team or
defusing the bomb (if it had got planted). NOTE: If you are wondering which skin to pick, it doesn't necessarily matter,
most commonly chosen are skins 1 and 2 on each side.
Strategies
The first topic will be strategies. Strategies can help a player or ruin a player depending on the right strategy.
First of all, you will have to look at the maps (http://www.counterstrikestrats.com). You can navigate on this website and
look at all of the map overviews there are on that site. Next: GET IN GAME! Load CSS, and get on the maps you want to
practice. You should make sure you studied the overview well. Now, walk around the map on Terrorist and Counter- Terrorist
side. If you want to practice on Counter-Terrorist, you should look and find spots to sit or find "hidey holes". Next, go on
to terrorist (you can also do it vise-versa). Terrorists are going to attack, so you want to find spots to "rush up in" or attack
the counter terrorists. Normally, as terrorists, you want to go around the map and go into side holes and corners. As being
terrorists, you also have to go to the bomb site and get the bomb down. If your wondering about a bomb plant strategy,
there is one! Find a spot in the bomb site to plant. You want to plant the bomb in a corner or something where the Counter
-Terrorist will have to bend down or crouch down to defuse the bomb. This a crucial part of winning the game. After you've
found an appropriate place to plant the bomb, wait until the CT comes, and finish him off!
What to buy
Looking for what to buy? Well go NO FURTHER! There are different guns you want to buy for the two different
sides.
Terrorist: On the terrorist side, there is a variety of guns you want to buy. Normally the first 2 rounds, you don't buy
anything on the terrorist side. Once you have about 2/3,000 you want to invest on a desert eagle . This is a very
powerful pistol. It can eliminate enemies with one shot to the head from far distance. NOTE: If you have over 2k cash, you
want to invest on granades ( flash-bang x2, HE grenade, and smoke grenade) Next, terrorists should buy theAK 47
or CV (in the rifles section.) This is an even more powerful gun that will allow maximum accuracy when used correctly.
Once you have 6/7k cash, and you want to snipe, buy theMagnum Sniper Rifle (or awp). This gun is very accurate but
only one shot so you have to switch between your knife and back to the awp for a "cock back".
Counter-Terrorist: As a counter-terrorist the first thing EVERY round you buy reguardless if you have money or some money
(150 at the least), you want to buy a defuse kit. As a counter-terrorist you are automatically equipped with a USP 45
. This is already a very powerful gun with only 12 shots and a silencer. For optimal performance, do not use the silencer.
Once you have 1.5/2k, buy a defuse kit and a desert eagle (like Terrorist's). Keep buying the desert eagle and defuse kit
until you reach 4/5k. Once you have 4/5k, buy the MP5 in the SMG section. After that, once you have accumulated
6k, buy a Defuse Kit and an M4A1 . Once you have this bought this is the most accurate rifle in the game, its
normally used for spraying in tight combat situations, but can be used to shoot from farther ranges. Unfortunatley, the
Ak47 has a better job of that, so Counter-Terrorist's must watch for that. Lastley, just like Terrorist, the Counter-
Terrorists can buy the Magnum Sniper Rifle or most commonly named AWP.
Once you aquire all of these guns you can buy guns for teamates in debt and buy a desert eagle to go a long with your deadly
setup!
