Video card thoughts

There doesnt seem to be alot of known ownership as well as reviews on this card. Very little documentation, almost kinda like it never existed outside of a tiny spec page on amd's website.

You cant beat 20ish bux for a pcie card!!
Obviusly it isnt for gaming, but how well does it stack up to other work station cards?
What year were these cards manufactured?

Seems to have been a decent card at the time... not sure how it would stack up against the Quadros of the time.

i know nothing about ati gfx but i do know my share of Nvidia i have had from a 4800 GTX to now a 460 GTX

They had a Ti4800 with GeForce4, if that's what you meant.

This fire gl v5100 actually makes a very nice dual screen desktop. Its got some power for being ancient. Im happy I got it, for $20 it makes an upgrade over old onboard video that shares memory and sucks up other computer resources. Does everything but video games no problem(Which is what a workstation card does).

It's an old AGP card from 2003, haha.

The V5100 isn't too old. At least it's PCI Express.
