The Team Fortress 2 Divisional Trailer!

I need your help! Some of you may know... Actually, none of you will know, but I have joined the eGO Media Team. We create videos to promote the group, and to send out 'happy vibes'.

As soon as I started browsing the projects that had been listed as approved, I came across 'Divisional Trailers', to which I leaped in the air and proceded to shout "I CAN DO THAT!!"...

So - here I am. Working on the TF2 Division Trailer. But before I do anything, I want both the opinion and ideas of the division. That's what this thread is about. I presume this is ok with the Media Team... ;)

I drafted out a brief plan of the trailer, and decided that blackmesa, our exclusive map should play a key part to the trailer as that is going to attract people to our servers, and ultimately to the group. It could possibly be showing a flythrough in the background, with various screenshots of events, and fun moments.

That's just my vision, though. It will probably end up something completely different. Remember - this trailer is to attract pubs to our servers, who may eventually join the group. Just like what I did!

I can't believe I just posted an entire thread with no smileys! Whoa! Anyways. Opinions, ideas, and criticisms... Especially from you leaders - except less of the criticisms...

  • Short flythroughs of parts of various eGO servers.

Really - I am leaving this project to the communtity, after sneaking it out through the back door :) Ideas are needed!! I'm simply piecing them together!
 
Short Flythrough of small areas of: 2Fort, Egypt, a few Valvemaps, Blackmesa, Trade Plaza, and a couple silly custom maps (ie, donkeykong, billiards, something like that) with people playing on them and having fun as an intro. Can then go on to include footage of events/gameplay. Approximate time, 1 minute.

There is my input :)

Also, at the end www.edgegamers.org, and all the TF2 Servers we have right now.
 
We should also mention (or show rather) that we hold daily events. Show a short clip of a bunch of eGO peeps having fun and messing around or something. For example, I'll never forget when a full server of eGO's went engi and we had a huge sentry war. Good times.
 
Good times... :) Thanks for input. If anybody has good existing footage from events etc they'd like to include, that would be great! I can definitely use it.
Some of the media team are quite possessive over tasks, so I won't ask you lot to do too much :)
 
i have music find me in vent and we will listen to some and you can pick if you would like to use any of them

You end up on the catwalk above A on Black Mesa; you manage to get the head shot off, right as he air-blasts you off the edge and down to the gaping jaws of Steve.

Thanks for all of this... Storm, I know where to find you. I'll try and find you some time, that would be helpful! :) And slayer, if you have any footage that's great, I can edit it in.

We are going to include footage from this weeks upcoming events, so if any of you would like to capture video from it, or even just screenshots, we will look through them, and use the best!! Particuarly from Whacky Weekly... :)

Oh - and can anybody do a really posh british voice?! I can explain... Later.

If you get some nice footage, just upload it somewhere and send me a link... I'm always looking for video. As for the voice - if you want to to a voice over, I will be more than happy... Either way, PM me.
