Morrowind Resolution Question

I recently updated my drivers and when I launch Morrowind on steam I have a black border around the game as if it's in window mode despite being full screened. Unfortunately since the game is almost 10 years old the in game video settings do not support 1600x900 resolution. Is there anyway to circumvent that and force the game to run that resolution or I'm a just out of luck?

I'm sure there are ways to fix it through third party modification to the game (via patches). I encountered the same phenomena with Age of Empires II and I was able to find fixes for it searching Google.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into finding a solution on Google and if that doesn't work I'll give the Tech Help forum a try.
