Quick Question about Division Events and Custom Maps

[ThatNintendoDude]

As I'm new to the clan and division, I don't know a lot about the events and such. I assume they happen on one of the =(eGO)= servers at whatever time it is scheduled for? Anything else big that I need to know to take part in these? I'm specifically interested in the one tomorrow (May 8th), but they all seem cool.

Also, I understand that =(eGO)= has a custom "Black Mesa" map and server. Is there any way for me to download that and place it in my TF2 folder manually? You see, I have a TERRIBAD internet connection, which always times out when I try to join the Mesa server, during the download process. If "yes", could someone walk me through that?

Thanks!

There is an entire subthread devoted to Scrim/Event info - here's a link: http://www.edgegamers.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=773

There are a plethora of stickies in there with good info - if you have other questions, try PMing one of the ECs.

Yes you can DL Blackmesa here http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/56580

After downloading it, unzip it to your TF2 maps folder:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[YOUR STEAM ID HERE]\team fortress 2\tf\maps

For most events all you need to know is the time and place!

If you have anymore questions, just look at this thread for the ECs. I'm sure all of us wouldn't mind helping .

Yes you can DL Blackmesa here http://www.gamebanana.com/maps/56580

After downloading it, unzip it to your TF2 maps folder:
C: Program FilesSteamsteamapps[YOUR STEAM ID HERE]team fortress 2tfmaps

Easiest way to do it with out having to download it while running tf2.
