Worth buying gw1?

I was thinking about picking up guildwars+ the expacs, since i use to love playing guildwars but long forgotten my log in stuff. Is it still active and hows the pvp?

It is still active, in fact, they are still constantly updating it with new content. But with Guild Wars 2 seemingly right around the corner, I'm not sure that it will be worth it.

Really though... ^_^ I remember GW2 being "right around the corner" about 2 years ago. LOL.

Since there's been no real release date, you might still be able to pickup Guild Wars and get thru and get enough achievments done to be able to redeem a nice starting reward... also its a good way to save your character name. ^_^ I mean I'm no "God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals" but even my main has enough to get some rewards.

Heck... I may reinstall etc... and log back in and play around some more before GW2 is released to see what else I can pickup...

You can contact customer support to retrieve your log-in info so that you can play the original again before deciding whether or not to get the expansions.

^ well problem is i have no idea what it wasm account name, password or heck even a chars name. I just need something to do since i stopped wow for a bit. I know some of the places are dead heck even when i played in 08 some end places in proph were empty. But i heard the pvp is dying, do people still do ra,ta and alliance battles?

They did away with TA for the Codex Arena. They used to have hero battles but they did away with that as well. The game has moved to more PVE than anything else.

Well that blows. I mean i enjoyed pve and all but i enjoyed the pvp more than anything.
