I like C++ and PHP, as far as languages that I've actually used go. The little bit I've dabbled in Java, I like that too, and I'm just starting out in Objective-C (not on the list ), which I also like. I also hear Python is good, though I have yet to use it. I'm taking a class on it next semester, though, so it should be fun.

I started out in C and C++ but my expertise and favorite (at least for web apps and utility apps) is Java and all the related stuffs (J2EE, Javascript, jQuery, JSON, etc) which is fortunate since that is what the biggest company in my city was hiring for

I prefer to use whichever language works for the project I'm working on. I usually code in PHP/Java depending on what I'm working on, but I dabble in Perl and Python (ugh) from time to time.

I've done some c++ but I usually just stick to php based stuff for some reason.
