Clear on Camping

Hi All

Just want to clear a little on camping atleast on Donner. We have a few e's that are calling players campers MG's all rifles are not campers just so you all know.
They are suppose to be in a spot and just wait. gather some are there alittle to long but thats part of the game so please stop calling them campers. And lets just have fun thanks

Yeah, even is someone is camping they should be easy to kill with a nade if they're not moving.

All our rules are very clear.

Camping is allowed, and it is generally a good tactic.

There is only one server where you can actually spawn camp and that is the orange server.

Corp is right, and you cant shoot out of spawn either, only exception is when opps are shooting into spawn, like from 2nd axis flag.
REMEMBER:
1 or 2 spawn kills: no big deal, its about repetitive spawn killing

My 2 cents as a beginning player: When first getting into the game, not having a clue where to go in the map, no knowledge of tactics, and getting tired of being killed as soon as I advanced, camping use to be a safe bet while trying to get my early kills. It got boring after a while and I realized I am going to die anyway, so I'd rather get the enemy by running right at them. I still get killed, but have a bit of fun.

I found that best thing happened when those with lots of experience starting offering suggestions, how to move up, and coaxing me into helping others. The teaching / learning idea helped me a lot even though I still die about 2:1. I saw the US side turn around this very day and regain the advantage when one member took charge and started helping the beginning players a bit instead of everyone yelling at them. It was awesome to be a part of that.

As far as those that should camp for specific weapon types and strategies? It is still beyond me for now. There are some very good campers out there that know how to move around just a little bit to keep me off guard.

I have had to spawn kill just after grabbing the 1st or 2nd flag just to keep alive until I could try to hide for a fresh assault. But that's about it and probably getting off topic

Have to admit, realizing I am pretty low on the skill and position list seems a little silly responding here, but my heart is in it big time.

I agree with you Gen too but some are really bad. there only camping to get more points. which is not wat the game should be about. Should be about havin fun.....

yeah we used to sit inside adn spawn kill everyone but no one complain, that's fine
and last time some players spawn kill a couple opps and was yelled at
so i wanted to see what is okay and not okay

We were all new at one point, and probly would have lied down often, just because of the accuracy bonus from it. It's understandable if you might want to lay down for some kills. Sometimes the accuracy of the BAR and StG44 is too nice to pass up.

Donner requires that the team advance, take ground and HOLD ground while the team works on advancing FURTHER on the map.

Problems ensue when too many people decide to "hold ground" such as when a team is pushed back to their 1st or 2nd streets. In that case almost everyone needs to be on offense. But people are just frustrated...it's not that they are "camping" just to get kills.

I see little actual camping on Donner, but occasionally there is complaining.

To me actual camping is when someone takes a useless position for kills only, and the person doesn't help the team.

My complaint is about non-snipers that block and stand next to the snipers waiting for their sniper rifles to drop. It's been happening a lot lately. That's camping to me also.

Not exactly. The Allied spawn on the Ava server has two parts. One that's walled in, but you can shoot through the fence, and to exactly across the street from it, there's an open bombed-building-type spawn where anybody can walk in and shoot people as they appear.

camping is 100% accepted on all of our servers no question asked. IF you think that waiting 3 minutes to get 1 kill and have a great K be my gust and do so. IF you wanna help your team by getting caps and kills and having a more "exciting" time then go ahead. ALL your choice...

i do both, i camp sometimes cause i want to punch someone and i also camp so i can stop a capture

thats a win-win for me

Thanks for the post all I also agree you all of you this is a team game and we all need to move up and eventualy to make the captures. And again no shooting into spawn especially if the game is over sheesh Thanks All
