Skype not working

Starting tonight whenever I make a skype call it will be fine for a few minutes then it tells me my skype is offline. It somehow effects my internet as well, not allowing me to log on for around 30 seconds, and not allowing me to use the internet also. I have a macbook with an updated skype, please help! It has been working fine for as long as I've had skype until tonight.

it's because skype is now Microsoft's and you're using it on Mac. :trollface:

That's odd. Does your internet do that by itself, or has it always been caused by Skype?

it just started happening tonight and no my Internets never done that either

Tried re-installing? That sounds really weird, I don't think mine does that.

ive reinstalled it twice but nothing changed

Drop to the command line,

sudo <package installer> remove --purge <name of skype package>
