Final Fantasies are fun but, like the guy above has mentioned I think there are a bit to many...

I am eagerly awaiting the remake of Final Fantasy VII. That is the only Final Fantasy that anyone should ever be concerned about.

Final Fantasy VII is soooooo overrated its not even funny anymore. Its fun and all, but I personally prefer Final Fantasy VI on the Snes. Fun like the classics, but had the improvements that came with the Snes as well.

Yeah I enjoy VIII and IX the most. VII was fun but something about VIII and IX are just more fun to me. Great video though! Good song and good clips!

Well, there are a few FF's to care about.
I, IV, VI, VII, and maybe some of the ones I haven't played (II, V, VIII, IX, XI, XII)

Honestly, a FFVI remake in the essence of the FFIII and IV remakes would be more amazing to me than a VII remake.

I think FFVII had more commercial success (and a bigger following) because it was released on the PSone; it introduced a new generation to the mechanics of Final Fantasy, had (for that time-frame) next gen graphics, and was one of the biggest hits for an already very popular PlayStation console.

My latest guilty pleasure has been playing through the iOS releases of Final Fantasy on my iPhone. Not as fun as playing them with a traditional controller, but not bad at all. FFIII is the most expensive app I've bought so far, but it's been fun playing it.

Overrated? Hardly. I have every Final Fantasy version released to the United States for every system. Final Fantasy VII is the only one that I can go back to and play all over again and actually like playing.

All the Final Fantasy games are great, but I've never had the same connection to a story or characters like I had with Final Fantasy VII.

Except Final Fantasy wasn't just released on the Playstation, it was also a computer game. It went platinum on both systems if I remember correctly. It wasn't because of the success of the platforms, but the way the game was designed, the storyline, and character development. Plus, like you said - the mechanics were "fresh" and people really loved the game. I actually own the Playstation and PC versions. I've never opened the Playstation version, but I have purchased a few copies of the PC version over the years.

I too have the iOS releases for Final Fantasy. Right now I am finishing up Final Fantasy III myself.

By now, almost all Final Fantasy games have been released to the US. Definitely all the numbered ones.

FFIX was the best. It had the best story in my opinion, and could be made into a movie.

My favorite main line game would have to be VII. Trolls may troll, but this game is very well put together and is enjoyable if you find the time of day. Favorite "branch" game would have to be Crisis Core. That was also an amazing game and it really was emotional.
