Finally upgrading from my current Q6600 @ 3ghz/3gb DDR2 667/Gigabyte P45-UD3R system. Going to be using my still awesome Saphire 5870 for my video card with it, and my semi-new power supply. That flash drive they gave to me for free.

you have Q6600 right? G0?

need more info.

Probably though. Decent low VID G0 Q66's go for about $95 on forums.

UD3R is a pretty legendary board. Probably worth about $80 since UD3P's are highly desired, and go for about $130ish

Might try selling it in the trade listings. I'd be tempted to take it off your hands if it wasn't for the fact I'm eyeing a newer similar build like yours (Using a C2D E6750 + 4GB DDR2 RAM)

If i don't find a UD3P, i might be interested in the UD3r.

Need a good board to bench mah C2D's on.

Yeah, it's g0 with a pretty good VID, hit 3.0 with a stock cooler on it. This board has been pretty good to me, really made me a fan of gigabyte enough to get another one for this build.

Thought I could get something, just confirming it and the price. My dad knows a few people that might want to pick it up (selling irl is much easier), but we'll see, might end up in the forums.

Going to get a cooler later for this 2500k and make use of the 'k' part :p, maybe get it to ~4.0 on stock if i can at least later on to help eek out performance as the overclocking is what made me keep this q6600 so long. It's been good to me, one of the best cpus I've had. Without the extra oc I would have never have kept it with a 5870.

It's been suffering in cpu intensive games though, Bc2/Brink and even things like tf2/sc2 with tons of things going on. Will finally unlock the full potential of my gpu and have a much more well rounded computer, I'm happy. Plus, this year has sooo many releases. Witcher 2, Duke Nukem, Deus ex, Hunted, Skyrim, Guild Wars 2 etc etc.

I was able to get to about 4.5 on stock cooler before the temps were way too high.

2500 is probably a bit cooler though since it doesn't have HT.

True, I'm so used to my q6600s 65nm >.> forgot how much cooler a 32nm runs.

Oh, rofl that's a pretty inside joke. Glad I asked, much better with context. Read over my post trying to understand the joke at first, lol. Probably saw that thread but wouldn't have remembered it from 2 years ago.

it is the best thread evar!

The 2600k i had only came with a paltry 32nm, so i sold it and got an 860 which has a whole 45nm!

I also have this celeron D on my desk which is a whole 65nm!!!!!! zomg!
