Also, once you purchase it (assuming you get it from steam), right click on BC2 in steam, go to CD keys, and copy down the one for Spectat. Once ingame, in one of the dropdown menus there is an option for redeem code. Enter it there and it will be applied to your account.

Also I had a problem with the steam version but EA is very helpful and is more than willing to help you out through the live chat. I redeemed my code but they didnt show up in game but once I went on live chat it all worked out for me.
