OK for those that have been Plaing in game with me have seen that I am recruiting all the time,...
Please dont get frustrated with me by using the Mic for recruiting. I try to only recruit when there is dead air on the mic. I try not to interfere with communicating about the game. I dont think I have yet. But please be patiant and If you here me working on someone to join, BY ALL MEANS jump in and say something like " ya I agree with Lucky I have seen your attitude and the way you play. You would fit in great with our clan..."
Everytime one of you does that most of the time I get a steam friend request and someone asking me how to join.

Last night for instants I was playing with ALAIS and I said " Hey ALAIS? Did you hear that we were recruiting for new admins because eGO was growing and we needed More people?" And then alais said "I sure did.. WOW Its going to be huge." I told Him Maybe I should Let some of these guys In on How to join."
And then all of the suddun I had 3 pm's asking how to join, Like it was a secret or something and guess what 2 of them did join.
Last night I was in a NON eGO server To find a guy that I was working On to join. Me and him got to talking and I met a kid that is 8 years old by the name of Magnum.
He was getting Picked on and made fun of and all he was doing was asking about how to join there clan and if they were recruiting.
I was disqusted by there reactions to him. tHEY EVEN WENT SO FAR AS TO TELL TO PUSH F10.
anyways i added him to friends and then pulled him into the kk server and explained all about us and how to join.
He said that I was the nicest guy hes met online and was excited and would join after school within the next few days. I explained I was acted as most other eGO's act and we would look out for him and take care of him.
He gave me a little insight on his home life situation and I KNEW I had to get this guy in the clan. I have to look out for him. This Kid really hit a nerve.
So when MAGNUM joins make sure you take care of him.
But back to the point. When an {A|R} is recruiting by all means chime in and help a little.
It works I can prove it and if I have to SINGLE HANDEDLY make us the Biggest Besst clan then I will, BUT it sure would be easier if we all helped.

Thats sad and awesome at the same time. Sad that people would give him a hard time. I think Younger players get a bad name because there are sometimes they get on and are just annoying. But it doesn't sound like this one was. But thats also awesome what this clan has become for you guys to care and work to stick up for him and actively make him feel welcome.
Cant wait to see him in the servers. And hopefully here in the Clan.
 
the more people we have the better we as a group so as the good lord says... go forth and mulitply.... :P
 
lol lucky, there was a guy asked me about KK
and i told him what I know, and I asked him if you wanna join ...
but he ignored me, LOL

totally agreed, there are people just not want to join any clan.

MORSE ANYTIME A GUY ASK HOW TO JOIN OR ASK ABOUT CLAN. SEE IF YOU CAN GET THEM INTO SPECTATOR AND GIVE THE INFO HE NEEDS AND THEN ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS OR IF THERE IS A RECUITOR ONLINE GET THEM IN THE SERVER
yOU NEED TO ADD ME TO STEAM FRIENDS ANYWAYS CAUSE I AM A RECRUITER AND I AM ALSO ONE OF THE KK ADVISORS
 
I have been playing flash and have heard you recruit. You always make it personal and that always works the best. I'll help where I can.

good job with Magnum. I'll certainly try to make him feel comfortable when I see him.
 
Wow, great job Lucky.

I think that the reason why most people join eGO is because of our attitude. And lucky here has been a great example of that.
When i try to recruit someone i often am asked "What skill do i need?" I let them know that we focus more on mature, yet fun players who would make great candidates for admin positions in the future (or something along those lines).

I think anyone who is interested in recruiting should read this thread, for it teaches a bit about how to do it. It even inspired me =)

I dont think magnum has applied yet, but when he does ill be sure to welcome him.
 
Well the sad thing is, many blokes on Day of Defeat Source just came back from a day of tiring work or studies and are very cranky. Seeing a little child with a soft voice asking "stupid" questions ticks them off, and then they start picking on the little one.

I as a new admin, do not mind people asking questions, but i do not tolerate targeting and single out indivduals as flame targets.

Another thing, I think it would be better to do a bind for recruiting. I am not pointing out that Mic recruiting is a bad thing, it's just some players turn their mics off(me included to reduce lag).

Wait a minute! Turning off mic can reduce lag?! Must put that in my reminded notes.

I'm actually trying to discourage using binds. Anyone who recruits for eGO should do so by voice, or take the time to type out the invitation. If you are going to recruit do it right, and put the right kind of effort into it.
Do not use binds please. As I mentioned in the meeting, massive recruiting with binds is a turn off for some people who otherwise wouldnt mind joining if they were asked directly.
 
At some point, we all have to sak for help or direction. I know that I have needed to ask questions about some mildly technical stuff that the younger whippersnappers probably think is absolutely dumb. But I prefer not to live in ignorance, and I try to remember that all of us were once new at something.

I also like the organiztion at =EGO= and widh to see it thrive.
 
No problem mate, will help when help is needed :P Pretty rude of these other guys making fun of him.
This may sound a bit weird, but what does happen with F10?Just that i'm prepared...:P
 
since the new flash map came out i think that ive gotten over 10 people to join! its great...remember to say peoples names and not to bind, try to make it more personal
