So, the Summer League is coming up and maybe you don't know how to play competitive 6v6 TF2, or are just looking for a few pointers!

Well, I recommend checking out this guide! Its not completely up to date, but it still serves its purpose well as a good intro to competitive gameplay!

You can go in by yourself, or take your whole team there to practice against non-eGO members.

This is a pretty good video to check out, its aimed at spectators who might not have seen this type of play(or even tf2 at all) before, and breaks it down to the most rudimentary aspects.

edit: CommFT/eXtv's youtube channels are great places to check out highlight clips, match shoutcasts, tutorials etc..

You can go in by yourself, or take your whole team there to practice against non-eGO members.

Just a word of warning, it is generally considered bad etiquette to go into lobbies with "pre-made" teams. If you do so, I would recommend taking off any tags that might associate you with the rest of your team members. Or else you might get some people complaining about how you are trying to stack lobbies.

A great alternative is to join #tf2scrim on gamesurge via IRC. The magic words to find a scrim there would be something like: "6's low yours" or "6v6 yours low"

where "6's" stands for 6v6, low means you are a low-level team (aka new), and "yours" means you will play on their server. They will then give you something that looks like this: connect <ip goes here>;password <password here> You can then have your team paste this in console to join their server.

Another IRC channel that is good for finding low scrims would be #tf2newteams, but this one usually isn't as full as #tf2scrim. The method would be similar here except it is generally understood that all teams here are new/low so the low part can be left out. Something like this would suffice: 6's yours cp_anything. THe cp_anything tells them that you want to play any push map.
