Along with MacBook, we have decided to start a revolutionary revolution which encourages Mac users to reply saying if they have a Mac. So do that. Also, if you would like, you can change your name to one of the ones available within the eGO Mac community. Some popular names available are XServe, MBAir and iMac amongst others. You don't see windows or linux users doing this. It's just hardware/software, not a secret club, stop trying to separate it.

I'm fine with a group, there's groups for everything. But changing your name...

Not even hardware. It still runs the same types of hardware, maybe only one specific architecture, but it's nothing special in that department.

So it's just a software. Why make club for it? I don't see a Windows 7 club with members named MOM.exe or svhost.exe or explorer.exe.

Doesn't make sense, and it makes you seem like you're tying to make it something special. It's just a computer.

My HP notebook's video card fried and I ended up buying my sister's macbook to replace it. The laptop is always the "work" computer and the desktop the "gaming" computer.

I am enjoying the macbook so far, but not to the extent that I'd change my name or brag about it being so much better than my other computer. It's not better as much as different. It is functional, and it's good for what I need to use it for so that is great, but so is my Windows desktop.

The only thing that has really impressed me over my PC is the touchscreen mouse accessory. Now that thing rocks! All mice should be built to function like that.

honestly my only problem with mac is that they try to sell their computers for like 200 bucks more than a pc with the same, and in some cases, better specs

Thank you Mr. SniperWolf And just saying, their computers are that much more because of the software, which, yes, obviously isn't worth that much, however, it's Apple, and they will charge as much as they can for their software As for MacBook, agreed.

and like it or not, you have to admit that Mac's have a great resale value. My new macbook is 2 years old yet it runs great, much better than my HP laptop, also 2 years old. And I'm not just saying that because the video card on the HP fried, I know how it ran before it fried.

If the HP laptop was working I could sell it and the Macbook and I would get much more for the Macbook, because they are built to last. My HP laptop is so outdated now I would be lucky to get 25% of what I paid for it.

I'm not posting this to start a OS war. We shouldn't do that anyways. I am glad MacPro started this thread because I am also curious as to who else owns a Mac in the clan. So now we know of 4 of us if I counted right
