I'am in need of a new gaming rig, i'm more for a desktop, but laptop is a last-resort option.
OK heres what i need: a computer for video editing, gaming, mapping, and general use. i'm going for able games like black ops, not necessary but if passable.
the budget is from $500-800 possibly $1000 (dont get ur hopes up!)
the current computer i have is a Dell INSPIRON 1501, Specs; 1gb of ram, 512mb of dedicated video ram (i think), amd mobile TECHNOLGY 1.6 ghz (very bad >.<), nice glossy screen with 720p (mostly for youtube- the 720p).
i don't have a copy of windows 7 (i need a copy of win 7 ONLY IMPORTANT :O), but i do have a mouse, i will get the keybroad and monitor so no need to worry about that, but if u can get that too in the same crush up price :P.
i will look around to for builds, please help D:, in desperate need of a new one!

~!IMPORTANT!~
: Try not to use the following-CyberpowerPCs, IBUYPOWERPCs, Alienware, Apple.
This is a custom build PC!

THANKS~

Before you guys go ape on the Rosewill PSU, the Green and lightning series are actually good, so chill out.

There are "special" ways to aquire windows if you want to investigate a bit.

If you don't want to do that, i can take $100 out of that build, and include W7.

the bottom left is the total price.

135 is the dicount for buying it as a combo

yea pretty much a good build right there
the only thing i would change is the mobo due to the fact of intergrated gpu. its just a preferance. but overall good build on reflex. this is an amd build http://i.imgur.com/XXeyc.png total with shipping is $746.28
o and for ur windows 7 find a iso

agreed the gpu down grade is a slap in the face. u r hevy in the cpu area if u do that. i would just go amd and even the power out. due to the fact you dont know when ull get an chance to upgrade and what componets to upgrade as well. nothing is wrong going intel as well. personal u have $800 to spend go with reflex if u got $750 to spend go with mine or until a better one will pop up. both are great build the diffreance in the two are cpu being the main. his is more poweriful then the amd one. but if u r on a tight budget go with amd or make a intel sandy bridge build lower then 700. its all on you and what you want and the money u can spend

thats a better gpu then 5770 still i would recomand a 560 or a 6950 not 6970 no point when u can easylaly unlock the 6950 to a 6970

ok, i have heard your suggestions and requests, and made a better build, but still in budget range. i have also added the keyboard and monitor already, but those aren't being paid by me.

no for the build we r making him it would be a great gpu due to his price range

I'll make 3 builds for you in Newegg. The first one WILL break your budget, but it's just something to consider and compare to. All 3 builds include monitor, mouse, keyboard, and headset.

Intel + NVIDIA Powerhouse
Intel + ATI Budget Powerhouse ($200 over budget w/ monitor/mouse/keyboard/headset)
AMD + ATI Budget Build

I saved the print pages as html files and uploaded them as an attachment in a .zip file. You can click the links to get to the product pages.
