I know there has to be some epic Legend of Zelda fans out there and I know last year, you heard about the latest work-in-progress Skyward Sword! Everyone has their places to pick up the hottest gossip on it and I know Miyamoto will be talking about it at E3 since he said last year it would come out this past year and did not.

There is also talk of a new console release. Nintendo Wii 2 is what some websites are calling this new fabled console that Miyamoto and Fils-Aime will be revealing at E3 as speculated by IGN.

So here is the thread to talk about your fav LoZ games and what you think of this new console and what might be on it!

Disclaimer:I'm tired and writing this at 5 in the morning so if any of my information is wrong, feel free to correct me and I will totally update this later!

From what I heard, this is Nintendo's last big title for the Wii System, as next year, it sounds like they'll be releasing their upcoming new console. That's another reason to watch the Nintendo Conference, as more likely than not, they'll be announcing the new console. Think it'll actually be able to finally play DVDs or even Blu-Ray? HDMI ports? A better name than the Wii?

It's called Projected Cafe and is rumored to stream the games to screens on the controllers. Supposedly, Nintendo is returning to the hardcore base with this console.

That's it project name. But it's official name is...? Heard Cafe, Wii HD, Wii 2, and for the very creative ones, an amalgamation of all previous project names done by Nintendo for their consoles.

I'm still waiting for Nintendo to make a console that will support games with actually good graphics, and HDMI is a must.

Who cares if their new console will have great graphics. As long as they come up with something new and fun, i could care less. :D

I heard from a very trustible source that the new name is "Puu".

I hope they do make the new Wii HD, as much as I love my Wii its not brilliant in the graphics.

Obviously I care. If I'm going to buy a game, it might as well be aesthetically pleasing.

I hope they don't call it Wii 2. The Wii name is associated with casual motion kiddie games. From the rumors I have seen Cafe will be more the successor to the Gamecube in that it will be more traditional hardcore game centric. So I hope they just let Wii stand in it's own category and go with something else for the name.

I hope they name it *something* Nintendo (IE NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, etc) My vote is for Ultra Nintendo or Ultra Famicom (why did they never call it Famicom in the US?)

Rumors I've heard:

Controllers have touch-screen enabled screens; can be removed from the main console and act as independent units (like gameboys)

HD will be supported.

The main console will have HD projector capability: you'll be able to project your games onto a wall, screen, etc..at HD quality.

Will only ship with one controller.

I'm pretty excited for this. Can't wait to see which of the rumors pan out.

If those rumors are true then it will be great!

Monster Hunter Tri was gorgeous. Mario Kart, Brawl and the Galaxies were top notch and very good looking. Just my 2 cents.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, FEAR NOT! I am here to re-rail this thread and save the day!

My favorite LoZ game by far is Link to the Past. It is just a great solid game and I spent many hours enjoying it. In fact I might play through it again this week just because I said that.

I am looking forward to Skyward Sword, but I have a feeling we're going to get hosed by it. I seem to remember that Twilight Princess was originally supposed to be a big Gamecube game, the last hurrah before the arrival of the Wii. Then it got pushed back and "upgraded" as a Wii launch title. Sure TP still came out on GC, but much later (and flipped).

I have a suspicion that we will get hyped up for Skyward Sword only to have it get pushed back as a launch title for the SWII (major kudos to Chem!st for coming up with that hilarious nickname).

That's just my suspicion, and I hope I'm wrong because otherwise I probably won't get to play the game. I can't afford a new system.

From what i have heard over the last day is that it will be more powerful than 360 or ps3. Looks like a special version of the ATI 700 for the graphics and an IBM full triple core processor.

HEY! HEY! STOP IT! This is a Skyward Sword thread! I will not let this fail!

Here's the original 2010 E3 trailer if you need a reminder on what you should be talking about.
