Ya other than that pretty sweet monitor package I am severely underwhelmed. Nintendo has a real opportunity to win the show 2 years in a row.

That was too easy.

Anyone else noticed that all the Vita's are being PLUGGED IN. What kind of portable is this?

Well I didn't intend on buying PSvita, so now I have a bit more incentive to buy a 3DS.

Know what i just realized. You could get the same functionality by just slapping any smartphone into a case that has the controls in it. Vita is not what I would call a game changer in any way.

Hopefully Nintendo would give a good Conference. It's not like the level of competition is even high at all for them to beat.

@FixIt Thought the very same thing. Any smartphone would be good, and guess what! You don't have to be stuck with AT&T! A tablet would be a better purchase for me.

Price is decently competitively.

The ending performance is entertaining at least. I like the Japanese drums. Too bad the parts of the conference I caught SUCKED. Sweet, what DJ is this?

Edit: If the DJ keeps bouncing his head like that, he's gonna get whiplash.

I was a little disappointed -- No Final Fantasy announcements, no The Last Guardian... I'm a little excited about the new Uncharted 3 and Sly 4, but that's about it. The PSVida looks like an ipod with buttons; which sucks for me since I JUST picked up an iPod touch a month ago. Ah well. I doubt this Vida will have facebook, youtube, and all the other wonderful apps I can get on my iPod/Smartphone as an alternative. The exclusives look kinda cool, though.

So far, on the WOW factor, MS got a 3.5/5, and Sony got a 2/5. But I need to rewatch it as I only caught the last half. Though as I keep listening to the DJ I'm almost willing to give Sony a higher score. Almost.

Lets count the bad
1. PSVita (the name) 2. AT&T 3. No clear cut release date 4. The whole show was wasted on Uncharted, whatever happened to Metal Gear Rising?

Also, did everyone hear the whole room cringe when he said AT&T? I lol'd after I heard that. Unless the 3g plan is DIRT CHEAP the WiFi version will be in the majority.

The Vitas were plugged in to the main big screen so everyone could see clearly. The battery lasts the same amount of time as the PSP.

Where is my Kingdom Hearts 3? If they want me to buy a ps3 they are going to need to make that game happen. I don't realy care about the vita but it does have a ton of tech crammed into it and its the same price as 3DS.

Gamespot is having their post conference video. And they must be drunk. I thought Sony pronounced it Vee-Tah. And they're saying VI-Tah. And they said that was the best conference of the day...

Actually, now that I think about it. We're letting the whole at&t thing overshadow the whole console, overall its a lot better than the 3ds for the same price.

I was asleep during Sony but from what I've read - Sony was awful just like I knew it would be.

AT&T isnt that bad these days now that iPhone is on other networks so the wireless stress isnt all that bad. And to be honest I like AT&T over Verizon. Better prices and service. THe more disappointing aspect was that something this new is still 3G and not 4G LTE but thats the only bad thing I can stink of for the Vita.

Multitouch screen something the Wii U doesnt have. The back touch screen on the back of the Vita looks amazing.

I dont see how you can knock and say the device will fail just based on the name...

Also Sony went more with Uncharted 3 because it is game of the year. Kojima likes to hide a lot of MGS type games. Not to mention Rising doesnt interest me that much. Everything you do in Rising is explained pretty much in MGS4 Guns of the patiots just not very detailed...



My only disappointment from Sony press conference was no Kevin Butler...


Also the Vitas werent plugged into the big screen. Did you not watch the live stream that had the camerman filming over the peoples shoulders the whole time?

After looking at some games around the net I am starting to feel the Vita a little. the back touchpad actually looks like a fun add for some games. Like with LBP switching the enviro on the fly from behind is really cool and that rolling monkey ball type game where you deform the terain to steer it around is pretty promising.
