What are your guys' thoughts on the PSVITA.

250$ for the Wifi / 300$ for the Wifi 3g

AT&T. So unless the 3g plan is $15 or less Ill be getting the wifi version.

To me, Dead On Arrival. AT&T? Seriously? Holding judgement on its playability as I was underwhelmed by the games they shown on it.

i wasn't all that impressed by it. it looks like it can do a lot, like with 3G and everything, but the games that were shown don't back up the console or the price. i think its going to be like the psp, just kind of sitting around

Overal it looks better than the 3ds to me. If you forget about the 3g its still better hardware for your money than the 3ds, you also have to remember that NONE of the games presented were confirmed as launch titles, so there might be secret launch titles.

$250 US = 250 Euros

I'm in Canada but I can definitely feel the burn for any European. But next to that, I'm quite happy. Clearly Sony is gunning for Nintendo and it's a strong shot, hopefully they'll have more games on day one that they'll announce later this year.

Dead on arrival? Nah man nah. the PSVITA is going to have quite a bit of a run as long as Sony sticks to the script.

If it'll have a monster hunter freedom I'm buying it, no if ands or buts. I do hope we get CFW before that though- main aspect to Monster Hunter for me is being able to change it into what I want. Though, on the other hand, Monster Hunter is one of the ONLY games in existence truly worth the amount of money that's charged for it. 500+ hours of gameplay for 50$? Yes please (and they mean 500 on the low side...).

Hey, if I get the 3g version I don't HAVE to get the plan right? I mean having the option for 3g would be nice if I had the chance to. If paying the plan is required if you get the 3g I'll get the wifi only.

I would go for the WiFi version. Not a fan of playing online on a handheld.

@Beta I'm not saying it won't sell well. The US isn't the only major buyer for this product (Japan anyone?), but to me personally, I'll pass. The last portable I ever got was a DS Lite and that was a Christmas present as a joke. I'll save the money and get a new PC or tablet, or both, as those have more use for me personally and professionally.

Sony products do pretty well in Japan. I think the only handheld that Sony's released that had a horrid run was the PSPGO, but thats completely understandable.

So you hate portable gaming in general?

I'll definitely buy the WiFi version. I've never wanted a PSP because not having two joysticks was retarded. Now, I'll be able to play a real Killzone game in my hands, anywhere in my house. Win. I bet you Call of Duty for the PSV will really hit home with people.

Wow at 250 bucks you get some serious bang for your buck. Looks amazing and the multitouch screen and back touch screen are awesome.

I also like the pick up where you left off with your console part of it too.

Analog sticks and no more circle pads and some truly great looking graphics. I think PSV will sell very very well.

AT&T i could care less their network has gotten better now that iphone is not exclusive and their pricing plans are a hell of a lot better than Verizon and support is better too.

My only concern was that its only 3G and not 4G LTE compatible...

I think i'll pass with the PSVita. Most games they showed were just handheld versions. Thats nice and all, but I wouldn't mind seeing some newer games. They can be the same characters, but just something different. I enjoyed the Metal Gear Series on PSP, and I hope in the future I'll see another to coax me into buying Vita. For now I'll just stick with the 3DS.

The PSP left a bad taste in my mouth, almost no games. I haven't seen anything to sway me from that opinion for the psvita.

Pass.

I want it! But, whats with the At&T stuff?? I'm not gona buy a contract from America! D:
