I was wondering if anyone else here played the game Aces High 2 or would be interested in trying it out. It's a pretty niche game, but I loved it even though I wasn't really that good at it.
Let me describe the game briefly since most of you probably haven't heard of it at all. Aces High 2 is a massively multiplayer combat flight simulator utilizing World War 2 era planes and vehicles that takes place on one of several maps that are literally thousands of square miles where pilots get into dogfights, carpet bomb enemy bases, engage in tank battles, and mount amphibious assaults with carrier groups for the Rooks, the Bishops, or the Knights.
The focus though is on the individual fights and not strategical conquest. The game has flight simulator quality aerial physics, allowing players to use real dogfighting techniques in fights where there could be dozens of enemies. This gives it an extremely steep learning curve, but also makes it rewarding when you make a kill.
Anyways, they offer 2 week free trials at hitechcreations.com, and it's certainly better when you've got people to fly with.
