Since all the buzz about BF3 is out I was just gonna put this post out for the main Battlefield theme songs through the years. And if u have any others fill free to post.

Original BF 1942. Classic score, timeless and inspiring. The others just fall short imo.
 
1942 is great. The use of horns makes for a powerful theme.

1943 also has an awesome feel...sounds more upbeat, victorious...then it gets all mysterious. >_>


2142 sounds too much like circus music. :P

I've heard other theme songs before, but I'm a new fanboy of Battlefield, so personally I like BF3, because of rock band style music they used, it fits for war games. But I still like original songs, but I think BF3 is better for my taste of music... Please don't kill me *Runs away*

EXACTLY! At first I loved the sound of 1943, much more dramatic, but then it got weird so I had to go back to 1942, I couldn't even finish it.
 
The first Vietnam had it right, use REAL music from the time period, if you listen closely the theme for 1942 is the same for 2142, just orcestrated with more instruments

I liked the 2142 theme immensely. I like the BF3 theme too, but the 2142 theme was really good.

EDIT: Update the original thread with the ACTUAL BF3 theme please. The one you posted is fan made.
 
1942 all the way! It was an amazing game for the time in every way and still pretty impressive even now looking back. I will never forget that tune from the countless years of joy from playing that game!
 
Battlefield 1942 is simply one of the best games ever created. Its ground-breaking style of game-play, amazingly fun battles and, of course, killer soundtrack make it the best game of its time and surely a game to remember. Haha I even play a little 1942 now and then. :)
 
I would have to say 2142, to me it's always been a tad...chilling.

Puns aside, I do still get chills from the music as it reminds me of my Titan glory days.
