My borther got a quad and bios says its a tri

my brother just build a comp and he got the asus evo 790x and the amd phenom 4 84o cpu with 4gb ram 500gb hdd. any way the bios says its a tri core. wtf? i download amd overdive and the 4th core in not active help any 1. btw its been over 3 months

nvm i fixed some how by going in to the bios and turning auto unlock on instead of it being manual

Always know what you're doing in BIOS.
While you may have resolved this problem, you can mask more in the future.
Just be careful.

I never recommend soft overclock if that is what you are doing. Overclocking in bios is always best if it is available. PM me if you want to try.
