Stupid Question

I feel embarrassed to ask this but don't care. For some reason never thought about this much till latley..About in game voice chat

OK to the best of my knowledge
When you voice chat your team members can hear you and enemies cant.
When you die and wait for respawn only the dead can hear your voice.
And when you respawn its back to normal again.

But I have a few questions for those who care
a. When waiting for respawn the other team cant hear you can they?
b. Those waiting for respawn cant hear the living can they?
c. And how does it work for the spectators exactaly do they have their own seperate channel?

I never thought about it much but every once in a while, while waiting to respawn, ill find myself yelling at someone im watching to turn around or to watch a nade. So whatever more, or, interesting details you have are welcomed.

I unfortunately don't know the answers to your questions because i myself don't use mic chat very much. But i don't think you should feel embarrassed about asking, because i think those are good questions though.

On our servers each team (including spec) has their own channel. It's set to team chat, which means when you speak only your own team can hear you. When you are dead the people still living cannot hear you but you can hear them. Also, when you are dead you can be heard by other dead people (only those who are on your team).

The server rules can be changed to all talk which basically means that everyone can hear anyone in any circumstance.

"All Talk" would be "All Bad", at least if it was like that on all servers.

anyway yea, the opposite team can NEVER hear you during a normal day in our servers (in which all talk is almost always turned off) The opponent can hear you if you are dead or if they are dead or any combinations...OK you team ~ if you are dead, you can talk to all other people that are dead on your team. If you are still alive then you can talk to all other people that are alive and the people that are dead can hear you (but cannot respond)...that clear things up?
ohh yea spectators i believe can hear both teams' living players...remember when you are dead only your dead teammates can hear ya
