mac or pc?

I need a professional opinion, Mac Pro

I need a rig that will last me at least 4 years, will run tf2 and other valve games with flying colors and great speed. do some graphic design, record music, and be fast.
what do I get? and why?

ok, let me rephrase the question. I under stand the mac or pc deal. I want to know about these two OS? pros and cons? the brand differences? how ling will they last me? what can i do with one and not the other? being almost the same price, what am i buying? and so on.

Windows for gaming. Mac for editing. It's that simple. You can do a lot of what Mac does great with editing on Windows, just depends on the program.
 
Mac's are way to overpriced IMO, you can get PC's for half the price with the same performance or better.

PC- can really do everything a mac can + great with gaming.
MAC- great with editing.

if you buy a mac you can get a PC that's probably twice as powerful.
 
I regret buying my alienware, and i wish i could have went with the Macbook Air (13.3).
 
Mac has some software only available on it that is used throughout the industry, for example Final Cut Pro...

It really depends on if you HAVE to have software that only runs in one OS or the other.
 
IF you play steam lots of the games aren't on mac........
 
Well, I mean a PC will get you more bang for your buck, as many have already said. Mac is more for editing, and business like stuff. If you plan on playing games, and doing some editing I would go with the PC. They are cheaper and they do a lot more than the Mac. Plus you can also get some good software to edit.
 
PC are great and cheap but you need to take care of them
MACS Cost alot uselly never break but only good thing they have is there programs
