If your looking for more of Greatest Tank Battles - Youtube - Greatest Tank Battles (which there a few)

Anyway I thought I would put this thread up to every tank enthusiast out there

If they gonna make a 1 hit/kill tow missile launcher... make it so it has 20% chance of working XD

doesnt it kinda scare you that theres no bullet drop with the tanks in BF3?
There is bullet drop but they made it much more realistic for the distance they were firing, the enemy tanks didnt seem to be more than a few hundred meters away which a sabot round fired from an abrams would have little bullet drop over that small of a distance.

a 1 hit kill tow or hellfire missile launcher wont be ingame, for one thing the abrams' armor is too strong for anything but an overhead strike or rear engine compartment strike. those are the only real weaknesses of the abrams, the frontal armor section is reinforced with depleted uranium plates (the most dense metal known, 6 times more dense than lead) which not even a point plank sabot round can penetrate (sabot rounds just snap in half due to the extreme density of the armor) and the side armor is covered with reactive armor to defeat shaped charge rockets and missiles which the hellfire and tow are. if there is slat armor on the rear engine compartment, then a hellfire or tow wouldnt completely take out the tank, probably just disable it. overall the only real way to destroy a tank like the abrams is to shoot it with a javelin (since javelins hit from almost vertical) since it will target the weakest point of any tank, the top.

nevertheless, its a game that favors balance of authenticity so a tow ingame will probably kill an abrams in 2 hits to the frontal armor >_>

Actually if you have the vehicle perk ALT FIRE in BC2 you get the TOW missile and its like 3 to 4 hits to the front of a T90 or Abrams in game to kill and 2 in the back of the tank

That was single player... We didn't see MP tank action yet.

SP and MP always seems to have the same weapon physics on most games :/

i guess so, im just so used to the bc2 bullet drop on tanks that even at couple hundred yards u have to aim higher.
