So I went to Vancouver a few months ago and y'all did a pretty good job pointing out things there, so hopefully I can get the same help again...

My family is going to Victoria B.C. next weekend. What are some can't-miss sights/attractions? Restaurants? Anything else "like unusual foods/drinks we can't get here in "the states"???

All we have right now is we're gonna check out that expensive Miniatures World on the backside of the Empress Hotel (that place was awesome when I was a kid) and we remember there was some sort of good, English-pub-style fish & chips place but can't recall the name.

Thanks! If you come down to Seattle/Washington in general, I'll return the favor.

I've never personally been to Vancouver, but I hear the syrup-beaver dish is quite delicious...
In all seriousness, I would recommend checking out Vancouver tourism websites. (http://vancouver.ca/) Also, do they have pountine in the states? If they don't, try it. It is the food of the gods.

Best wishes and have fun on your trip YSD!

I WENT to Vancouver already. I am now going to Victoria.

I actually have tried poutine, and I really don't like it at all, BUT thank you because that's exactly the sort of thing I am asking for--because no we don't have that in the states.

google is a good thing, i live close to Victoria but i never gone out for dinner there, but i can tell you to go to the noodle box, its right on the main drag, its kind of a take out place but it has a wide variety of Japanese and some Chinese dishes. would defiantly recommend that for lunch or a quick dinner.

Haha, whoops. Wasn't really paying attention.

Victoria... hrrm...

Not to sure if there is a lot to do in victoria itself, but Vancouver island is quite nice. I'd suggest checking out the parliment building in Victoria, and depending on the season you can go whale watching somewhere on Vancouver island which is pretty cool.

There is also the ferry ride between Vancouver, and the island if you're interested in that.
