Hackers finally quit!!!

Glad they caught one of them. I hope he gets punished severely. Hackers are retarded and cause nothing but trouble when left to their own devices, which amounts to sitting around in their mom's basement.

My theory is that there is only one real "hacker". The others are just communications/other "staff" that run the website/Twitter account.

That's why when they caught Ryan Cleary, they "quit" shortly after because they don't have anybody running the hacks anymore (thus, no more "material" to release).

Also, I think the CIA "backtraced" Cleary's internet to find him after they DDOS'ed the CIA website, embarrasing them.

You: "But there's no such thing as backtracing, iEye!"
Me: "Are you the CIA?, if not, then you're right, there is no such thing"

When you try to delete or even cover up your traces on the internet, Its like what I would call the pencil erasing effect. When you go to delete something, It leaves little smudges and parts of the information there. You can not effectively delete something on the internet completely, even when you are using a hack.

Then its like following the bread crumbs to who did it. :>

They proved that companies such as sony arnt invulnerable, anything can happen and its not impossible, maybe now they will use the billions that they make in a monthly period to increase there security.

Im not with hackers, and I am against them but this will only make the companies be more alert to what can happen =/

I hate hackers the one they caught should be on death row

really? that's really harsh. these hackers aren't really bad, i mean they didn't hack bank accounts or anything important. with the PSN i bet you they didn't even look at the accounts. now the only bad thing they did was release the accounts on a torrent site, but that gone now. if anything we should thank them, they hacked these sites and now it won't be as easy to do.

I don't see why hackers like this guy should be on death row. Honestly all he did was hack for the lulz, hence the name of the group. There's no reason for death row, jail maybe, but diffenetly not death row.

Thank god, I'm glad they have finally stopped, it is not good at all when they release personal information.

The onlything I will praise them for was hiding a security issue in the NHS database and then informing the admins of this issue. They said they didn't want to steal/attack them, hopefully they didn't take anything.

A couple of years ago, a statistic professor from the University of Toronto cracked the code for scratch and win lottery games using the barcode on the card.

He contacted the OLG (the government arm responsible for lottery and gaming), but they didn't believe him, so they ignored him.

He then went out and bought 50. Wrote "Win" or "Lose" on each one without scratching, then mailed it to the OLG.

Two days later, they finally contacted him admitting the flaw.

Reporters asked him, why didn't you just buy all the winning ones and get a ton of money?

He said he did it for the statistical challenge and to find flaws in the system.

Ok now thats good but if it was me, I would have won a few of them then reported it :P

I love seeing the sort of back and forth with hackers. It makes me feel like we are living in the future!

The future guys!

Who cares about not having any private information? Or that our humanity has moved to second tier status through manufactured, disconnected experience (social networks, and other means of virtual connections) and the ability to begin to do away with those faulty, organic organs (they were over rated anyway)? Because we can do more damage with a keystroke than with a bomb.

That is pretty epic, if I do say so myself.

Now, if I could only figure out why I keep getting these weird bills from Nigeria. Strange.
