Is S.T.A.L.K.E.R a good series to buy?

this is what i enjoyed about it most. you actually had to consider, oh crud do i have enough ammo, meds, etc to go in and challenge this camp? that type of thing.
you can't just breeze through the game and blast everything. you will be loading many times too because of it

Yeah. Remember the quicksave key while playing. Like Half-Life 1, but even more important to quicksave.
