Video Editing.

Hey guys, I was going to start recording demos to make a small video. I wanted to know what program I use to add text (with effects, say fading and blur etc), music... etc.. plus, what do I do to take only certain parts of the demo to make the video with?

Just a general how-to for video editing, if possible.

EDIT Also, I need 2 other people to record an intro. I want somebody to record myself standing behind an allied player (crouched) shooting them execution style. No mercy and all.
