So it's a long standing rumor that when an order such as the following is given:

CT: When I type go run to pool.

Another ct cannot try to the trick the ts by saying go, goat or anything similar to that. People say it is "griefing" and therefore against the rules.

Is this true or not? Cough Cough Cryptex.

Another rumor that has popped up is that CTs can stay out of lrs like deagle toss and octotag, this also is not in the rules. Is it trues? Let me clarify, people say cts can REFUSE to play a LR like Deagle Toss and Octotag.

I say no. Just like the first one.

It is true, it is considered griefing, only the warden should be doing the false starts.

This is a pretty good question. I would say in all fairness wardens should not say goat to try and trick them. It's not in the rules of course, but I'm sure Cryptex can offer some clarification.

anyone that has played jail for more than 1 round should know that typing go goat or any other form of the word when they are not the warden is griefing

as for sitting out on LRs

certain games do allow you to sit out, such as games which force all the CTs into a closed space (maze, climb). or any game in which the T recieves a secondary In these cases it should only be 1 CT sitting out, who is chosen by the T, unless the T selects multiple CTs to sit out
but if a CT tries to sit out on my LR when its a mandatory game ima deag them in the face for not complying with my LR

Ahhh, Good point there...

Dropbox

See other people want to know too!!! Lol. I usually do stuff like this do the drop box, but in this case I want it to be public so when I'm arguing with someone I can point them this post that will have my answer in it. jk...I don't argue anymore.

i enjoy debating the finer points of jail rules

but i hate it when cts dont listen to the wardens orders and freekill half the team when the warden says "alright shiftwalk out of your cells be knifing distance, you dont have the freeze but no movement keys." and the Ts decide to look around cellblock like the warden said they could only to receive a hot lead salad from a ct not listening

also when they kill you on yoncan when youre on top of the railing when the warden says knifing distance.

if you are unsure of the maximum distance from which you can knife your cell please ask the t to attempt to knife their cell, if unable then proceed to open fire.

^ cool story bro, not the point of the thread lol. Not to mean or anything though. Don't take my to the point attitude as being a jerk. I just don't want this to turn into a rant about cts in jail thread.

you were speaking about rules in jail, my posts are relevent but i dont want this thread being locked so ill drop it

Random people who are not the warden that type go are griefing the terrorists as it hampers their ability to play the game in which it was originally meant to be played i.e waiting for the warden to type go. This creates confusion both among the ct's and the t's and can lead to freekilling and over all server disruption.

Technicalities, no one likes being killed for the minor things. Honestly we're all playing jail to have fun. Dying in a game is one thing, while dying from someone saying goat instead of go seems useless.
That of course is just my opinion on the matter.

jail is fail.
Thanks for this very insightful post on this topic.

Says you, not the rulebook. While I see your point, and understand your reasoning, I would really like someone like cryptex to respond,.I don't like seeing people get revoked for "griefing" when it's not even a real rule.

But what about all the ts that pay attention and don't go, it's obviously possible since most ts usually live in those situations. Yes you died for a minor thing, but it was your fault because you were too fast to jump the gun.
