Elder Scrolls V or WoW???

Hi all,

I have come across a tough decision. I have saved enough to either buy Cataclysm and a month card or pre-order Elder Scrolls V. I've tried to weigh the pros and cons of each, but still cannot come to a decision. I want to do one soon so I can say I did something this summer rather than play TF2 all day, so yeah. All opinions will be considered :w00t:

lol well playing video games doenst exacly count as doing anything lol switching games doenst mean you did something BUT

back to your question you can get the WOW and play now but u only have a month of playtime but u can buy more later or u can buy Elder Scrolls 5 But it doesn't come out for several months so u cant play it yet, if they were both out now id recommend elder scrolls because i think its the better game but if u want to play something now i go with WOW since..well its already out
 
buy ES5. wow is free for the first 20 lvls. so buy the game and play wow for free for a month and then buy cat. personally i played wow since the beginning and quit when cata came out(i did the alpha and beta testing.didnt like they direction wow went imo) but its up to you to make the final decision. all we can do for you is give out our opinion and you can go from there,
 
Wait is Cata come with a free month? I'm one xp from 81 because I played the demo...

No, Cata does not come with one month free. Since you already have an account, you'll have to pay for your subscription once again. And since ES5 isn't coming out for some time, go ahead and get Cata now and enjoy it in the meantime.

Buy Skyrim when it comes out. Save your money if you won't have enough saved for skyrim by the time it comes out- you can easily put 500+ hours onto skyrim over the course of multiple years with the amount of content in it vanilla + the modding community.
 
I'm biased and would say Skyrim. I played WoW for a few hours at my cousins house a few years ago and it wasn't what I expected. But things could have changed since then. I would still prefer Skyrim over any game though(except probably Mass Effect 3, though the Collector's Edition for the "epic" conclusion to the series kinda sucks, I expected something greater).

WoW became a game for kiddies..

I never tried Elderscrolls but I'd personally go with that as WoW is horrible now.. <- comes from an old core raider in Vanilla, TBC & Wotlk. (6 years of gaming for the noobs :D)
 
I have a WoW account as well as I've pre-ordered Skyrim. If you are already at level 81 like you mentioned above, then I would suggest Skyrim. You can always go back to WoW later if you wanted to finish that bad. WoW was a lot better back in the day, but it tends to be boring for me even though Cata just recently came out.
It's your money, whatever you think you'll enjoy more, :)
