First off, forgive me if this has been posted before. I did try to dig around a bit before posting. If such is the case, please disregard, and go about your business.
To the Statement:
I have seen a couple threads about how we joined eGO, or even why we like eGO. I guess my Question(s) extend a different ideal. I have asked myself these for a while now. One I can answer with ease. The other, not so much.
First, why do you continue to stay with eGO? Apart from the obvious. ("Punk Free" servers, a lot of games represented.) Be specific.
Second, what is it that you can and/or will bring to the community as a whole? Breaking from just a Divisional role. Not to say that supporting your Division is a less worthy endeavor.
I will answer myself here. I stay for many reasons. I like the community. Despite its large size, I have yet to feel like just a "number" or another small cog in a large machine. I have been welcomed and felt like an intrinsic part of eGO in a very short time. This spans from =(e)='s to =(eGO)='s, advisers, Division leaders and more. Not once has any question, concern, idea or failure been laughed at, dismissed or ignored. For such a large entity as eGO to make a little character such as myself feel so welcome and "essential" (for lack of a better term, knowing full well that I am not) is nothing short of amazing. Also, the fact that "Have Fun First" is stressed over and over again makes this such a better fit for me personally.
The recent Clan wide meeting impressed this upon me even more. So, thank you to ALL EdgeGamers!
The second question vexes me.. Seeing such an impressive job displayed by all the Advisers, Division Leaders, the Council, Trainers, Coordinators, etc. makes me wonder where exactly I can fit in, and still benefit not only my Division (DoD:S if the plaque under my name was not enough) but EdgeGamers as a Community. I am just not sure how to answer that quite yet.
So, I turn to you. Not only for your answers, I do like these kinds of questions. But, so I might better understand what i can do and how. Perhaps not just for myself, but for all those who feel to low on the ladder, or who like myself are just unsure how we might best benefit eGO.
To those that reply, Thank You!
