What do you want to see from gaming in the future?

I also want to see Half-life 2 Episode 3, or if the wait has been for a really good reason, Half-life 3.

This is always brought up, and i ALWAYS agree w/ it!

What I want to see from games?
  • Any game with multiplayer to support the following:
    • Better LAN support
    • True dedicated servers (with public files)
    • A full-featured SDK
  • Any game with Co-Op to support the following:
Storyline and gameplay integrates the companion/extra person. This
means more missions, harder battles, bigger mobs, etc. Without that
the extra person exists as a ghost or sidekick and usually makes the
    game easier.

What games I want to see?
  • Starcraft Ghost redone, new storyline and combat with the current
engine SCII uses. (Maybe make it an expansion to SCII?)
  • I do have an idea for an MMO, but I also have plans of getting into
game development so I can then create the game myself (with a
    team of course).

These are my exact feelings. Good luck with your MMO, I hope to see it in the future.

I would like to see future sandbox style games, that take what Minecraft has done when it comes to creativity, and give us even more tools and different styles of play. I know there's other sandbox games out there, but nothing has compared to Minecraft when it comes to making things you visualize in your mind, come to life in the game, in my personal opinion. That's why I want to see more games like this, but with even MORE tools to help bring your creativity to life.

i want a game that basically puts you in the game itself and its like your actually there. that would be... so cool

companies that care about their products again...i know theres a few out there but im slowly losing faith in the gaming industry. there a handful of companies that know how to legitimately make a profit, take pride in their work, and actually care about their customer base. I know companies are out to make money but that doesn't mean you have to exploit your customer base and release shovel ware. I notice more and more companies that ONLY care about how much money they can make by any means necessarily, activision being the biggest culprit now days (guitar heros constantly, cod being the same polished turd 3-4 games in a row, charging above average prices, charging ridiculous prices for DLC that offer very little addition to the game) and companies that don't know when to kill a series despite being profitable bungie/microsoft being the one to come to mind (Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Halo4) It was meant to only be a trilogy idk how halo4 will even make sence in the story since..it officially ended with 3. ODST and Reach could get by because that was a side story and a prequel

Personally companies that are in my select few of caring and profit are Bioware, Bethestda, and Valve they actually continue a series in a productive manner and end it when it needs to be ended and have the creativity to start a new IP from the ground up and then becomes a a high ticket game on its own,

So the tl:dr
I want to see true quality games and companies that care about the product not just the cash flow

I too miss this from the majority of game companies.

(Off sorta on topic)
Have you ever heard of the company Tripwire Interactive?
If not, you should check them out. They are currently developing Red
Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad. It'll have public dedicated servers,
SDK (on release), free DLC, both VAC and PB for anti-cheat...
It will only cost $39.99.

a remake of grim fandango, which is one of the best damn adventure games anyone has ever made ever.

a gta game thats a sequel to san andreas, i love riding the bikes there :D

an elder scrolls game that has multiplayer, with co-op.

a new black & white game, hopefully that from dust game will be as awesome.

Dungeon Keeper 3

a new fable game that has no stupid guns in it.

some kind of gaming controller for pc that replaces the mouse. Not like the novint falcon or the millions of other controllers that cost a lot and are only popular for a couple of months, i mean something that will replace the computer mouse for good, or for 5 years or so.

oh and beyond good and evil 2.

Full Immersion vr, complete with actual sensory functions and a VR helmet that takes periferal vision into account.

I have my own design for such a thing and I hope it becomes a reality some day, but if I can't invent it I hope someone does.

Some incredibly fast paced action MMORPG. Yeah, maybe a grindfest, but if killing one mob gets your heart pumped, then it's good to me.
And please make it have a class that uses scythes!

(I'm currently designing this game, no stealing)

the reason the mouse hanst been replaced is because most pc gamers ...want a mouse....i can;t even aim in an fps with a controller anymore...pc gamers buy gaming mouses that is our controller

What I think would be cool if you put on Gear (i.e, Helmet, Pads, Etc), and you are transported into a realistic world. Then you can fire realistic bullets at another person. When you get hit, your transported back.

I did hear about vindictus but:

a) I'm IP blocked for it.
b) It's run by nexon. <- THIS is a major downside, considering I played M.Story for 3 years, I think I know enough of their business model.
