Other game possibilities?

I was just wondering if EdgeGamers was planning on supporting any other popular games? (Possibly even making a new Division?)
Primarily, the Left 4 Dead series. Have we ever considered supporting a server there to see how it turns out? I know myself, as well as other players would support it, and I believe it would be successful (as a server(s) or even as a seperate division?) Even some of the recruits I've invited to join eGO asked if we supported Left 4 Dead. So I was just wondering if there has ever been any talk over supporting the series and if not, why?

(Not to mention I'd love a single server on Pirates, Vikings, Knights II, but I doubt that would happen seeing as it's not extremely popular [though I do believe, if we did support it, it would be the top server on the game, such as on Insurgency])

Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I tried finding an appropriate place to put this type of suggestion, but could not.

I've seen other suggest L4D as a division, and it always fails. Here's my personal insight into this (and not the official eGO answer):

Typically, we run servers stock (though there are exceptions). A stock L4D server will host 4 players. In addition, most players that play will join The Best Available (Dedicated) Server. Most people do not directly connect themselves to a certain IP, though you can add favorites. How do we recruit new players into eGO from four random players? A pop up window will not always work as people are more concerned about having fun and playing the game, and not reading an info tab. Yes, we can have eGO players in the server, but then if it's a friends only game, how can new players join?

Left4Dead doesn't fit into the traditional eGO division setup. I can see maybe us hosting a server or two (modded or stock) for our own members to enjoy and play, but then we're not recruiting from it.

Feel free to drop box it. Maybe we have something in the works already?

We have had servers to both the games you have suggested in the past. I believe they were dropped due to the lack of popularity.

It is obvious when EdgeGamers needs servers for a game, there is usually a large amount of EdgeGamers members playing it

To further explore what new games EdgeGamers is looking at I would strongly suggest that you check out the First Person Shooter eXperimental discussion forum. New games are what FPSX is all about.

Yeah like he said probably want to put this in the drop box section of the forums, and ad for L4D I personally don't know what is so good about it but you never no so just put it in drop box and you should be good.

I would put it the Dropbox, but the purpose of this was to get other comments about how some of you other players felt about supporting these games.
Though I didn't know we used to support them and dropped them, so thanks for that info Darth.

it would be hard to host a l4d server becuase there can only be four or eight players on it if you want to do versus, therefore it would be hard to recruit more members. Also when playing l4d you mainly connect to ip's not certain servers

^ Not really a reason. We host Killing Floor servers in which the max player slot is 6. But you are right, it would make it harder to recruit players strictly for a L4D division. That's why I was thinking we could possibly have a few L4D servers under the FPSX division?
