So I've been playing tabletop games more than video games recently. I play a variety and thought some of you may be interested in them. If not, don't worry, but don't be put off by the "thats too geeky" thought either, you never know, it might be just the right amount of "geeky" for you!

There is generally too much to describe about each game so i'm going to post a short theme for each, if you're interested, hit the developer link, or PM me to talk about them.

If anyone is interested in any of these games, or wants more information please feel free to PM me. I'd love to talk about some tabletop stuff with anyone!

A list of games I play:

Malifaux - A Steampunk / Fantasy Skirmish (quick and small model count) Game
Warhammer 40K - A full scale wargame - Future Sci-fi setting.
Warmachine / Hordes - A steampunk sci-fi skirmish game
Super Dungeon Explore! - Interesting board game that plays like a video game dungeon crawler. Really cute design and easy to play.

A comprehensive list of games by publisher:
I'm sure i've missed a few, there are tons out there, these are the major and most popular. Feel free to let me know if you'd like something added.

Wyrd
Malifaux
Puppet Wars - Coming soon

Games Workshop
Warhammer Fantasy - Fantasy wargame - orcs, giant rats, elves, humans etc...
Warhammer 40k - Sci-Fi futuristic wargame
Blood Bowl - Football with Warhammer Fantasy themes.
Lord of the Rings - LoTR Themed wargame

Spartan Games
Dystopian Wars - Steamship naval wargame
Firestorm Armada - Space Warship Wargame
Uncharted Seas - Naval Wargame

Catalyst Games
Leviathans - Air-based combat wargame - think if a naval ship could fly
BattleTech - Robot combat wargame - Newly released at $50 for a complete box

Privateer Press
Warmachine / Hordes - Steampunk Skirmish game
Monsterpocolypse - Monster based mini boardgame - prepainted clicks

SodaPop Miniatures
Super Dungeon Explore! - Boardgame plays like a video game dungeon crawler
Relic Knights - Unsure of the playstyle of this game. Only seen the minis.

On my budget I am all about the pre-painted mini's. I'm a huge fan of Axis & Allies: Naval Warfare. Great game, great looking miniatures.

I see that pen & paper RPGs are officially not a sub-genre of tabletop games.
If I had more patience, more time, friends who play the game, and more money, I would probably play warhammer 40,000.

When I was in Italy for a few years when I was younger Warhammer 40K was huge, lots of us kids played it, great fun, never followed the directions properly which lead to outrageous fighting haha. I would love to play now, but its so expensive!

I love me some 40k. Favorite setting for pretty much anything. I don't get out much so I haven't ever played an official game but I have a couple of tiny armies. I love painting them, that's where I really got into the hobby. Also the books, can't get enough of those.
