There's a point where this has got to stop, and we've clearly past it.

I appreciate a fan base taking the time to advertise their passion, however, when it comes to content like this you cant expect to spam a thread like has been done here, and not recieve criticism. The content alone should immediately raise a flag to you that flak is incoming - its MLP, (not Power Rangers or something slightly more unisex)... so don't be suprised or offended, or even defensive when it does - what did you expect...? Lol.

Albeit, I hope this thread continues...it has been quite entertaining.

Well you know, what with this being a mature gaming organization and all maturity goes hand in hand with having the respect not to troll or flame. So yeah, I expected better. That isn't unreasonable, that is expecting the best from people who are members of an organization that takes pride in putting its best foot forward. I even just checked the top of my page right now, it tells me that this is a mature world gaming organization, in actuality it doesn't say "troll/flame people that don't like the same stuff as us World Gaming Organization". I never would have known had I not looked at the banner.

I hear ya - but I get the feeling that people think you are trolling them here. Because MLP...really...REALLY?!?!?! Regardless of if you are or aren't trolling, it certainly feels like you might be - but please understand that I mean that with the utmost respect. I definately give you the benefit of the doubt, sans my post.

I mean, I liked Big Bad Beetleborgs...but MLP is a stretch, admit it, lol. Plus all the 4chan nonsense feels like its just carrying over.

Part of being a mature individual is understanding that, many times, you will come across people whose opinion will differ from yours. No matter the severity of the differential in outlook, it should never lead to several pages of spite. Being mature starts with each of us. Not everyone has the same level of maturity. When someone writes or says something you deem as immature, if you jump right in there with them, is your maturity level any greater than theirs at that point? We've all been in a server with someone who has taken umbrage from a simple, 'Please use respectful language on eGO servers. Thank You.' They can scream, yell, unleash a flurry of epithets aimed directly at eGO, and as mature admins, we have to take it, and politely handle the situation. We warn, we kick, then we ban; nowhere in there is a step where we talk back to them in hurtful tones or try to out yell them. Sometimes being mature means swallowing your tongue and understanding maturity means different things to different people.

While I understand and agree with this, in our little case here however, we are discussing eGO rules and guidelines, maturity level is irellevant as long as it within said guidelines, amirite?
